Privacy Notice
Last updated: 20 July 2026
This notice explains what data Bugwize ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We designed the site to collect as little personal data as possible.
1. Data you give us
When you submit the quote request form we collect the details you enter: your name, work email, business name, project description and — if you used the calculator — the services you selected and the resulting estimate. We use this data solely to review your request, prepare a commercial proposal and contact you about it. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Quote requests are stored in our database and a notification containing the submitted details is delivered to our team through Discord. We keep quote requests for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless a contract is concluded or you ask us to delete them sooner.
2. Usage statistics
We collect anonymous usage statistics about how visitors interact with the site — for example which pages are viewed, which services are selected in the calculator, and how far visitors progress before submitting a request. These events contain no names, emails, free-text input, IP addresses or device identifiers; they are linked only to a random identifier that exists for a single browser session and cannot be tied back to you. We use these statistics to understand which services are in demand and to improve the site (legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
3. Data stored in your browser
The site stores your display preferences (currency, light/dark mode, cookie choices) in first-party cookies, and your in-progress calculator selections in your browser's local storage so you don't lose progress between pages. Calculator selections are not sent to us unless you submit the quote form. See the Cookie Policy for the full list.
4. Automatic currency detection
To show prices in your local currency, our hosting provider derives your approximate country from your IP address when the page is served. We store only the resulting currency choice in a cookie — the IP-derived location itself is not retained by us.
5. Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Data is processed by the infrastructure providers that run this site (website hosting, database hosting) and, for quote notifications, Discord Inc. as our internal messaging tool. Each processor only handles the data needed to provide its service.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR if you are in the EU/EEA or UK), you have the right to access, correct, delete and receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact form and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
All traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to submitted quote requests is restricted to authorized team members behind an authenticated admin area. We apply the principle of data minimisation throughout: if we don't need it, we don't collect it.
8. Changes to this notice
If we materially change how we process personal data, we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
